Amonetts' New Years Rockin' Eve

One, Two, Three O'clock, Four O'clock rock,
Five, Six, Seven O'clock, Eight O'clock rock.
Nine, Ten, Eleven O'clock, Twelve O'clock rock,
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight...
...When it's eight, nine, ten, eleven too,
I'll be goin' strong and so will you.
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight.

~Bill Haley and the Comets

I bet you didn't know that the couple voted most likely to sit home on a Saturday evening turns into party animals one night a year, hand jiving circles around America's most beloved t.v. icons Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest. Since 1972, Dick may have cornered the market on famous Hollywood interviews, contemporary musical performances, star-studded dropping balls, and panoramic shots of drunk patriots falling all over Times Square, but the Amonetts have been keepin' it real since sometime in the late 1990s.

While the rest of America is viewing pre-taped dancing queens and lip syncing studio stars, the Amonetts are staying warm and cozy in a pre-heated 72° theatre room providing treats and entertainment for the huddled masses (a.k.a. all five members of the Farley family).

We may not have all the luxurious amenities of the Big Apple, yet our humble festivities are sure to provide pleasure for kids of all ages. In addition to the wide assortment of finger foods and tasty treats gracing our table, you may always find...

...snuggly fleece blankets to chase away a winter chill (as tested and approved by eskimo baby Bubba).

...Disney and Pixar movies on the big screen.

...intriguing literature and reading buddies to pass the time during intermission.

...a soft place to land when you've filled your belly with soda, apple juice, and sippy cups of milk.

...intense games of strategy with Bond-like maneuvers (nail biting optional).

...a hand with Lady Luck. Take your chances and dive into the mystery!

...festive party headbands.

...G-rated love.

...a classy hostess and neverending supplies of Martinellis served in the finest crystal ever manufactured...you guessed it, it is none other than McDonald's vintage label (ca. early 2000)!

Regardless of the party on ABC, the Amonetts' annual bash serves as the backdrop for welcoming the dawn of a new year and a new diet. Dishing everything from baked sugar to carbonated sugar with a side of processed sugar for dessert, guests and partygoers alike agree the two-day bellyache is the perfect send off to the closing year while springboarding into the new. So, if you find yourself nodding off in your La-Z-Boy at the ten o'clock hour, head on over to Spanish Fork. We'll fill your belly and your spirit, light a firework or two, and find a comfy spot on the sofa for you. Just don't disturb Bubba...

I love that snuggly picture of Bubba. He looks like one of those Hallmark figurines.
