Love Bites

I have heard it said a time or two that love makes the world go round. On Valentine's Day, it makes a pit stop in Angie's kitchen for a healthy serving of pink-colored frosting and red sugar sprinkles.

Few things in this world are as sweet as sharing love, except for sharing an iced heart-shaped cookie with your valentine.

Love, as with frosting cookies, can flow smoothly or be messy around the edges. But what fun it is to dive right in and see what love can create.

Love can fill our souls with warm, affectionate smiles. It can also fill our bellies with a teaspoon of confection.

Love can be an exciting gift. For little valentines, it can be a colorful bag of sweet surprises.

Love can be exhausting. When we are searching for that soft spot in which to land, cozy blankets and a pillow can catch us when we fall.

In a constantly changing world, love can be many things, both great and sometimes small. Yet love is mine and here to stay which makes me the luckiest girl of all.

Ok, those pics of Sammie crack me up. I love the one where she and X have their candy bags. And sweet little Emer snoozing makes me want to snuggle him!

You are seriously the best writer ever. Great pictures. I thought Emerson looked like Thaus but he might look a little more like Skip.
